With a warm and quirky style 'Modern Moppets' avoids a standard formula of childrens' photography by focussing on individuality. Instead of 'staging smiles', the children engage with the photographer naturally in their own environment and within a playful and spontaneous atmosphere.
The photographer's fascination with the past - especially imagery from the past - started at a very early age in her life when she was poring through old family photo albums. This fascination became tangible when the then 12-year old began taking photographs of her baby brother in order to create imaginative pictures for him to still be fond of as an adult.
The philosophy is simple: It's about capturing the moment and keeping it not only forever but forever unique.
